Time is a valuable commodity; something we can never replace or get back. So it’s vital that we make the very most of every minute we have. Of course we need time away from the routine of day to day life periodically, but even our relaxation time should be used wisely.
Having a schedule is the only way to accomplish all you need to do. At the same time, flexibility in your homeschool schedule is equally important. However, you must be smart in the choices you make concerning when you allow flexibility.
Do allow your child to “chase a rabbit” if they’re researching a topic and become excited about it. It’s at these times that discovery is the most fun for them and they learn the most. So know when to incorporate flexibility in your schedule, and when to stay true to it.
